【Singapore】Short Trip

Objective

Coming April is Ching Ming Festival – a Chinese festival for posterity to visit passed away ancestors or clean up the grave every year, which will be very crowded to visit passed ancestors and normally Chinese will make the move 10 days before and after of actual day. Fortunately, I need to travel to Singapore (SG) to visit my passed away grandfather. While at the same time, we make it a short trip to visit SG since 4 years ago. Of course, I traveled with my wife and we also visit our relatives and friends over there.

Access to Singapore (Mar 23rd – 25th)

We traveled by coach – Aeroline Bus from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Harbourfront, Singapore. It took about 4.5 hours on the travelling and 40 minutes at the both countries custom. For you interest, you can visit www.aeroline.com.my for booking. It was about RM 95 per trip if you book it from Malaysia website.

Stay In Singapore

Transport in SG are very convenient especially the MRT railway system. We stayed at Hotel 81 Rochor which considered as franchise budget hotel in the town, it is located everywhere in the city that nearby to heart of town. The branch we stayed was at Rochor which also very near to Rochor MRT station. It was very unfortunate that we were allocated to ground floor room which was very noisy and another thing we dissatisfy was the dull smell in the shower room where we found the ventilation was not working too.

Travel in Singapore

SG is a very good place to travel. The weather is good and there are a lot of shopping mall and heritage building. We visited Bugis Street, China Town, Suntec City, Marina Bay, Garden by the Bay and so on. We also visited our passed away ancestor that located at Bishan Temple.
